I know, the image has nothing to do with formatting a document. I just wanted to put something cute on this blog.
So formatting is really all about making a document look professional, easy to read and presented in a way that readers can find things easily. It can be simply bolding certain words or having fancy headings if it’s, say, an essay but in the case of a lease or a manual or a contract, it can be more complex. There are styles that can be set up and used so that every time you type the main heading of a section and select the style you set up for main headings, the heading changes to that style, which can have bold, underlining, a bigger font, italics, colour, etc. Every level of heading can be set up with a style, too. You can have lists of varying levels with numbers or letters; you can have columns, tables, footers, headers and a very nice table of contents. When the reader clicks on a heading in the table of contents, they will be taken to that heading, if the proper styles are set up.
We know how to prepare your document so that it is easy to read, easy to find things in, pleasant to look at and even secured with a password.
