Here’s an example of why AI cost one of our clients more for our services: The recording was 27 minutes. The client sent us the AI-produced transcript and the recording and asked for a SRT file to be made. We spotted the mistakes on the transcript right away, mistakes that had to be corrected otherwise they would show up on the SRT file. And the company is a regulatory body so they cannot have mistakes in anything they release to their public. The client asked us to proofread the transcript and we found over 100 mistakes! End result is the client spent more money having us fix the mistakes than if they had had us transcribe the recording. We’ve seen this time and time again. That’s why we don’t use AI. If you’re a fast enough typist and you know the language you are transcribing in well enough, there will be little to no mistakes on your transcript when you’re finished transcribing.
